Blogs of Note

There’s no point denying it: I read a lot of blogs.  And the truth is, there are some utterly fantastic blogs out there, written by talented people whom I admire greatly.  Here are a few of my favourites.

Awesomesaucery
Run by the most excellent Rigel, this blog is full of exactly what you would expect, given its name: awesomesaucery.  Rigel is witty, smart and has an unnatural talent for reviewing the most cracktastic of romance novels around.

Medical History
The good Dr Turkey has a talent for tracking down the most unlikely of medical stories from history and relaying them to us via her blog.  Read along and be amazed!

Flipped Frogs Live Here
This is Flitness’s blog of writing, sewing and nattering.  You may even find the occasional chicken or tale of an abandoned left shoe, if you’re lucky.

Food Sauce
It’s all fun and games until someone loses a fork…  Here, you’ll find restaurant reviews and foody news, delivered to you by my almost-sister-in-law.  The posts are fun to read as well as being informative.

The Blytonly Obvious
Nef’s fantastic blog looks back at the works of Enid Blyton with a witty and insightful adult eye.  Her observations are funny and thought-proviking and are always a great read, whether Blyton was part of your childhood or not.

Tess: Ain’t Life Sweet?
I first met Tess waaaaay back in secondary school when we were penpals.  Her blog details her life in a rural area of Sweden, surrounded by a growing menagerie.  It doesn’t matter if you don’t speak Swedish – most of Tess’s posts are written in flawless Engish.

Danielle Carey
Danielle is a writer and photographer and all-round lovely person.  She’s the sort of person I wish lived next door to me instead of in a different state entirely!

Everything Else and Everything in Between
Laura is studying to be a vet nurse and she often shares stories of her study and her job.  Her posts are a lot of fun and cover topics ranging from TV shows, Blu-Ray Tuesdays to her awesome-sounding roomies and her fascinating hairstyle experiments.
